Flute & Single Reed All-State Help Session

Open to students in grades 9-12, the 2025 UNO Flute & Single Reed All-State Help Session will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025! The event is free for all participants.

Location & Parking:

  • All events will take place at the UNO School of Music in the Strauss Performing Arts Center located at 6305 S University Dr Rd N, Omaha, NE 68182.
  • There will be open parking on campus all day/evening.
    • ADA accessible parking can be found in Lot E (just west of Strauss) at the Community Engagement Center. Accessible entrances may be found at the at the southwest and northeast sides of the building. UNO campus & parking map


Schedule

8:30-9:00am Registration (SPAC Lobby)
9:00-9:30am

Clinic with individual areas:

  • Flutes in SPAC 160
  • Clarinets in SPAC 105
  • Saxophones in SPAC 109
9:30-9:40am

Break

UNO Faculty/Staff are not responsible for chaperoning/supervision of participants starting at 9:30am.

9:40am-12:00pm

20-minute individual lessons/mock auditions:

  • Flutes in SPAC RH
  • Clarinets in SPAC 105
  • Saxophones in SPAC 160

Participants to be dismissed upon conclusion of their individual lesson/mock audition.


2024 SWE WoodwindsWoodwinds at UNO

In the Woodwind Area, students have the opportunity to study with experienced teachers that maintain careers as active professional musicians.

UNO woodwind teachers have varied backgrounds including extensive experience in symphony orchestras, jazz, chamber music, and other professional groups. In addition to private lessons, students participate in a weekly masterclass presented by UNO faculty or guest artists.
