The name: WiSTEM stands for Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

WiSTEM is dedicated to the promotion of gender equity and access in STEM through mentoring, networking, and continued dialogue through collaboration across campus initiatives and engaging organizations. The group is open to any individual interested in advancing careers and leadership opportunities for all underrepresented persons in STEM.

Our Goals

  1. Create networking and mentoring opportunities.
  2. Retention of underrepresented faculty and staff.
  3. Improve job satisfaction.

Faculty, staff, and alumni are always welcome to contact the current president regarding their interests, issues, and programming ideas. We invite your suggestions and participation in all WiSTEM events. To learn more about WiSTEM, read more about us, check out our programming, or get involved by joining a committee.

Our mission and goals are more clearly outlined in our White Paper.
