Applying for housing is easy! Complete the online application which is for ALL of the facilities including Maverick Village, University Village, Scott Crossing, Scott Hall, and Scott Village. You must be admitted to UNO in order to apply.

Housing Sign-up Process

  1. Be fully admitted to UNO.
  2. Apply online via MavLINK.
  3. Once logged in, choose "Admissions" from the menu and select "Apply for Housing."
  4. Select and fill out application. Remember, your application is not complete until you submit the $100 non-refundable application fee.
  5. Click "Complete Application." At this step, your housing application is complete and finalized. Completing the housing application does not guarantee on-campus housing.

2026-2027 New Student Housing Timeline

After completing the housing application, please continue to check your email for important updates and information. Email is our main form of communication.

November 1, 2025: 2026-2027 housing application goes live.

February 2026: Start of assignment process for new students that have completed the housing application. Housing lease contracts are sent by email - ongoing as housing applications are completed.

Early March 2026: Roommate matching begins via RoomSync for all students that have signed a housing lease contract - ongoing as students sign a housing lease contract.

April 30, 2026: First deadline to cancel the 2026-2027 housing lease contract. Student will be charged $200.

June 2026: Move-In Guide emailed to all incoming students.

June 15, 2026: Last chance to select a roommate in RoomSync. Students without roommate requests will be assigned by Housing and Residence Life.

Mid-July 2026: Room and roommate notifications sent to all students via email.

July 31, 2026: Second deadline to cancel the 2026-2027 housing contract. Student will be required to pay a $750 termination fee.

August 1, 2026: Lease contract cancellation fee increases. Student will be billed 50% of the remaining contract balance (based on payment plan selected and the date canceled).

August 16, 2026: MOVE IN! Our team on Scott Campus is excited to welcome you to your new home! (Scott Hall residents will move in on August 15, 2026.)

August 20, 21, 22, 2026: MOVE IN! Our team on Dodge Campus is excited to welcome you to your new home!
