UNO and Community Applications for Space
Spaces in the partnership suites are available to UNO and community-based organizations who wish to be housed in the Weitz CEC and are accepted through an application process.
Future UNO and community space applications will be accepted on a rolling application basis with future deadlines to be announced.
The Weitz CEC space application process focuses on how the applicant organization or project coincides with stated core values of the Weitz CEC. The Weitz Center Building Advisory Committee oversees the two-stage space application process.
Organizations submitting applications in the future will be required to submit a PDF version to the email address email@example.com. Please note that all other formats (excluding operational budgets on Excel) will not be accepted (i.e., links to cloud sharing files).
An organization would be required to complete and submit an application for space designed to give the subcommittee insight as to how the applicant’s interest in the space coincides with the values of the Weitz CEC.
• Community-based organizations (non-profit organizations, community collaborations, government initiatives, etc.) should review the Community Space Application Guidelines, and complete the Community Space Application.
• UNO-based organizations (e.g., UNO colleges, departments) should review the UNO Space Application Guidelines, and complete the UNO Space Application.
This phase includes an in-person interview, followed by an in-person interview with the subcommittee and any organizational representative(s).
The Building Advisory Committee sends its recommendations for building residents to UNO’s Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, who determines what community and UNO entities are to be housed in the building.
