About CCSGE

  1. UNO
  2. Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Gender Equity
  3. About Us

Formerly known as the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women, or CCSW, from 1972-2019, the CCSGE serves as an advisory council to the chancellor and other university administrators on issues that relate to gender equity for students, faculty, and staff at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). The CCSGE monitors the status of gender equity on the UNO campus and recommends ways of improving that status.

Our Goals

Our goal is to provide a platform for gender equity at UNO in conjunction with the organization's core themes:

  1. Bring awareness to gender equity issues in the classrooms and work spaces at UNO.
  2. Strive for a work/life balance for faculty and staff.
  3. Elevate women’s roles at UNO and in the community.
