Audre Bedford Hansen, M.S. (they/them) is the Gender & Sexuality Coordinator for UNO’s Gender & Sexuality Resource Center. They completed a bachelor’s degree at University of North Texas in Rehabilitation Studies and a master’s at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Child, Youth, and Family Studies with a minor in Communication Studies.
Audre is a certified Victim Advocate and Health Coach and former foster parent. Audre is passionate about mental health, supporting system-involved youth, and advocating for the rights of gender and sexual minorities. They are a member of American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and the Consortium of Higher Education LGBT Resource Professionals and hold a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace.
