4 UNO Faculty Selected for NU DEAL Cohort

Four University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) faculty have been selected to participate in a system-wide program that aims to develop the next generation of higher education leaders.

What’s new: The following UNO faculty have been selected to participate in the University of Nebraska System’s Developing Excellence in Academic Leaders (NU DEAL) program for 2026-2028:

Why it matters: NU DEAL, sponsored by all four campuses with support from the Office of the President, offers an intensive two-year curriculum that helps participants develop their leadership skills, expand their networks and explore key issues and challenges facing the University of Nebraska and higher education.

What they’re saying: “The selections of Dr. Kreiling, Dr. Rosen, Dr. Pleggenkuhle-Miles, and Dr. Reay to this year’s NU DEAL cohort speaks volumes about the leadership they bring to UNO and their commitment to teaching, learning, research, and the lifelong success of our students.
