These appointments underscore UNO’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a safe and equitable campus community. Please join us in congratulating Scott Seeba and Catherine Link on their well-earned promotions, and in welcoming Lauryn Lee to the team. Their leadership, expertise, and steadfast commitment to Title IX and civil rights will be invaluable assets to the entire university community.
Seeba Promoted to Title IX Coordinator
Scott Seeba has been named the new Title IX Coordinator, officially assuming his responsibilities in June 2025. In this role, Scott will provide leadership, compliance oversight, and strategic direction regarding Title IX and sexual misconduct policies at UNO.
Since joining UNO in Fall 2019, Seeba has served several vital roles, including Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Title IX Investigator, and Education Coordinator. His dedication to upholding campus equity and fostering respectful community standards has made a lasting impact on the university.
Before his time at UNO, Seeba was the Associate Director of the Thompson Scholars Learning Community at the University of Nebraska Kearney (UNK), where he also taught in the Counseling and School Psychology Department. He holds both a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Political Science and a Master of Education in Student Affairs-Counseling from UNK.
Link Promoted to Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Civil Rights Investigator
Catherine Link has been promoted to Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Civil Rights Investigator. In this expanded role, Link will continue to build upon her impactful work addressing issues of sexual misconduct and discrimination.
Link joined UNO in Fall 2023 as a Civil Rights Investigator, where she led sensitive and complex investigations with professionalism and compassion. Her background includes over seven years of service as a Special Agent with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, underscoring her strong investigative acumen.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Master of Science in Forensic Medicine from the University of Florida. Her academic and professional experiences position her as a leader in creating safe and equitable spaces for all members of the UNO community.
Lee hired as a Civil Rights Resolution Specialist
Lauryn Lee was hired as a Civil Rights Resolution Specialist, responsible for responding to initial reports, providing resource and supportive measures, and conducting Informal Resolutions.
Lee earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Services with a minor in Criminal Justice from Northwest Missouri State University. She began her professional career as a case manager at a nonprofit organization in the Omaha area, where she supported individuals navigating complex systems of care. In 2023, she transitioned to graduate studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha, earning her Master’s in School Psychology in 2025. While pursuing her degree, she served as a graduate assistant at UNO for the graduate psychology department.
Her professional interests include expanding access to mental health resources and fostering student resilience through inclusive and trauma-informed practices.
