It’s heartbreaking to see the destruction caused by hurricanes Helene and Milton. The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Human Resources Department wants to remind employees that financial advice and guidance is available during challenging and stressful times such as the days following a natural disaster.

The UNO Faculty and Staff Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) has contracted with the Best Care Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide confidential counseling and referral services at no cost to all UNO staff (regardless of full-time or part-time status), full-time faculty, as well as the President’s office can receive assistance and counseling. You do not need a referral from a manager or supervisor to use these services.

The legal and financial benefit through Best Care EAP offers expertise from money coaches and consultants to help give peace of mind by helping people know where to start. Knowing the first step to take toward recovery is crucial. Best Care EAP created an informative flier addressing some of those first steps.
