Maverick Volleyball Earns First-Ever Regular Season Conference Title

With a 3-0 sweep over Oral Roberts on Thursday, Nov. 18, UNO volleyball clinched sole possession of its first regular season Summit League title.
The Mavericks ended their season at to 19-9 overall and 16-2 in Summit League play. The team now heads into the Summit League Tournament as the number one seed, earning a bye in the first round.

The 2021 Summit League Volleyball Championship will be held from Thursday, Nov. 25, through Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota. The top six teams at the end of the regular season compete in the tournament with the winner receiving the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
All-session tickets and single-game tickets for the conference championship tournament are currently available through the University of South Dakota. UNO will face the winner of Oral Roberts and UMKC in a matchup on Friday, Nov. 26 at 4:30 P.M. Streaming coverage of the tournament can be found on the Summit League website. Watch Friday's game here and, should the Mavs advance, the Summit League Championship game can be viewed here on Saturday at 1:45 P.M.
