Biography
Xuting Dai is a second-year PhD student in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she works under the supervision of Dr. Lane Gillespie and is a member of the Victimology and Victim Studies Research Lab (VVSRL). Her research roles include the program evaluation of Omaha Violence Prevention Projects and analyzing court decisions' impact on domestic violence and sex crimes. Her research draws on her legal training and quantitative methods to examine judicial decision-making, sentencing, and violence prevention. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she earned an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from Beijing Normal University, China, and a Bachelor of Laws from Nanjing Normal University, China.
