UNO Alumna Sherie Thomas Recognized by Metro Magazine
Sherie Thomas, UNO SCCJ alumna and a member of the Omaha Police Department (OPD) since 1998, was recently featured in Metro Magazine's Celebrating Women: Pathfinders article, which highlighted five women in the Omaha-metro area who make a difference in their community and positively impact the lives of those they encounter.
Thomas, who also happened to be recognized in 2019 as the recipient of SCCJ's Rising Star Award, was recently promoted to Captain with OPD after serving several years as their Public Information Officer. Married and a mother to three children, Thomas shares a little about her career and how she balances all of her responsibilities in this issue of Metro Magazine.
