Biography
Alvi Ali is a doctoral candidate in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Nebraska Omaha, under the guidance of Dr. Tara Richards. She has contributed to projects on missing Indigenous persons in New Mexico, hate crimes, and sexual victimization in educational institutions. Her work has appeared in the Journal of School Violence. Beyond research, Alvi is actively engaged in leadership and service, having served as President of the Association of Blacks and Browns in Criminal Justice for two years and as Co-Chair of the SCCJ Graduate Student Organization. Her long-term goal is to pursue a career in academia, contributing to both scholarship and teaching on victimization and justice.
