If financial aid is important to you, pay special attention to deadlines. The earlier you apply, the better. The University of Nebraska at Omaha is happy to answer your questions. Here are some key dates to keep in mind if you are a first-year or currently enrolled student.

Complete the Summer Aid Application on MavLINK after enrolling in Summer courses. More Information For the 2023-2024 aid year: Students who are eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant according to the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) calculated on the FAFSA may be eligible to receive Federal Pell Grant funds during the Summer term. The amount awarded will be prorated based on enrollment, not to exceed 50% of the maximum amount listed on your Student Aid Report (SAR). For the 2024-2025 aid year: Students who are eligible to receive a Federal Pell Grant according to the Student Aid Index (SAI) calculated on the FAFSA may be eligible to receive Federal Pell Grant funds during the Summer term. The amount awarded will be prorated based on enrollment, not to exceed 50% of the maximum amount listed on your FAFSA Submission Summary. Students who have attended full-time during Fall and Spring must be enrolled at least half-time for Summer to be considered for Federal Pell Grant funds. The amount awarded will count towards the student's Pell Lifetime Eligibility Used (maximum lifetime limit). |
