Why are you running for Student Government?
I have wanted to become more involved on campus at UNO since the moment I registered for classes last semester, I love meeting new people and experiencing new things that is why I believe joining and being elected to UNO's Student Government would allow me to expand my horizons, allow me to grow as a student and a person, and create change for future Mavericks!
Which issue do you think should be changed or improved on campus?
I really believe that UNO is a great university and an even better community of diverse people from all different backgrounds and cultures, the only problem I have seen is the lack of involvement from students, I would want to improve campus life and spirits getting more students involved and enjoying UNO.
The college experience is not only about attending your class and going home, but I believe it is about creating memories and experiences that you will take with you on your journey of life. I believe being a Maverick is much more than a simple thing but a lifestyle and embodying a student with great pride for their university.
What makes you qualified to sit on Student Government?
I believe that I am qualified to sit on Student Government because despite the fact that this is my second semester of college I have made every effort to get more involved with the community here on campus.
I am an event coordinator for Maverick Production the premier event planning organization on campus, in this organization I have learned a lot about about organization and planning but also how to budget, market, and how to get students involved. I am also the team manager for the UNO Men's Club Volleyball team where I organization tournaments, help with practices, and provide support for the team.
I truly believe these organizations have helped me grow not only as a student but as a person.
