- College of Arts and Sciences Senator
Additional Information
Why are you running for Student Government?
I am currently a student government senator. I have many projects that I would like to see implanted on our campus to for the betterment of all students. To do so, I need to be in student government for a second term.
I also have unfinished projects that I would like to continue working on. I think student government is the voice of all students on campus. to represent the students of my college is an honor to me.
Which issue do you think should be changed or improved on campus?
The number of Muslim students on campus is growing, and in our religion we only eat halal food. I was working on this project but due to the switch of managers in food services, I couldn't get anywhere with it.
I want to be able to provide this number of students on our campus with this basic necessity of feeling like thy belong here by being correctly represented. In student government we want every student to feel welcomed, and not having this barrier dividing the students would make this population of students feel unwelcome. This is a problem I have heard from so many of Muslim students.
What makes you qualified to sit on Student Government?
I am currently a student senator. I am familiar with student government and the way it operates. I am person that has many opinions and ideas to make the experience of all students great on campus, and I want to take the chance to do that. due to my familiarity with student government, I think I am qualified to run again as a representative.
