Additional Information
Why are you running for Student Government?
I see that Student Government is a voice to bring about change. I want to run for Student Government because I am a very social person but I also like to help bring change where ever it is needed.
I feel that Student Government will be very beneficial to me while I further develop my leadership skills. I also will benefit fromStudent Government by communicating more effectively and articulately with my peers, professors, and overall campus community.
It will help me to better identify personal and academic goals that I want to accomplish. There are a lot of different perspectives to take into consideration and I want to be a voice for students on UNO's campus.
Which issue do you think should be changed or improved on campus?
There is a lack of diversity across the campus but specifically in the College of Business. I know this process could take some time to change but it is needed. I also feel that Student Government needs more diversity so that everyone's voice I heard across campus. I feel that listening to the students is really important so we know how students feel on campus and how we can improve their experience.
What makes you qualified to sit on Student Government?
I am qualified to sit on the Student Government because I have developed skills through the Collaborative in the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center. I have developed strong communication skills, awareness, and I'm committed to having a positive attitude about my college experience.
I have learned a lot from participating in leadership conference which has made me realize what it takes to be a strong leader for many people.
