At their October meeting, the University of Nebraska (NU) System Board of Regents presented Jesse McBee, operations manager in the School of Music at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), with a Kudos Award for his commitment to excellence, collaboration, and providing positive experiences for the UNO community and its visitors.
McBee plays a vital role in supporting the Strauss Performing Arts Center, where he manages event scheduling and staffing for School of Music faculty and students, as well as internal and external clients.
Melissa Berke, senior associate dean for the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media (CFAM), said that “Jesse has improved both the quality and efficiency of building operations at Strauss Performing Arts Center.”
Faculty and students have praised McBee’s work, calling him responsive, knowledgeable, and efficient.
His foresight and creative problem-solving also help prevent issues before they occur. Berke notes that McBee’s attention to detail and professional approach make him “such an asset to our college.”
In presenting the Board of Regents KUDOS award to McBee, UNO Student Body President/Regent Aditi Rai thanked him for his dedication to UNO.
