Military-connected students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) now have a single point of contact for military and Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits.
➡️ What's new: The Office of Military and Veteran Services (OMVS), through the Military-Connected Resource Center, is now the university's central office for military and VA education benefit services. The change is designed to make it easier for students to access the support they need throughout their academic journey.
💡 Why it matters: Navigating military and VA education benefits can be complex. By bringing these services together under one office, UNO is streamlining the process and providing military-connected students with a dedicated resource for benefit certification, questions, and ongoing support.
🔎 Zoom in: The Office of Military and Veteran Services now assists students with:
- VA education benefit certification
- Questions about military and VA education benefits
- General support and resources for military-connected students
The Military-Connected Resource Center serves veterans, active-duty service members, members of the National Guard and Reserve, military spouses, and military-dependent students by connecting them with the resources they need to succeed at UNO.
🌎 The big picture: Supporting military-connected students reflects UNO's commitment to student success by providing accessible services that help learners achieve their educational goals. Centralizing these resources strengthens the university's ongoing efforts to create a seamless experience for students from enrollment through graduation.
