The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on June 15 in memory of University of Nebraska Regent Emeritus Jim McClurg, who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Jim's loved ones during this time.

About Jim

According to KETV, the University of Nebraska recalled Jim as "an innovator, a mentor, a champion of entrepreneurship and a staunch supporter," and noted that generations of students have benefited and will continue to benefit from his leadership.

Jim is survived by his wife, Lori; his sister, Joan Hall, of Chicago; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Wheeler, of Boulder.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held later this summer.
