That’s the mindset Papillion native and Omaha Baseball star Jackson Trout is bringing to the field and to his final season as a Maverick.
In Part 1 of “Built Here: Inside Omaha Baseball,” Trout shares his journey from a lanky 170-pound high schooler who wasn’t quite ready for Division I baseball to a junior college standout, a Summit League All-League first teamer, and eventually, a team captain.

“Built Here: Inside Omaha Baseball” is a five-part mini documentary series offering a behind-the-scenes, all-access look at a season in the life of Omaha Baseball student-athletes through the eyes of Jackson Trout. The series gives fans an inside look at the players and coaches who represent the university — on the field, in the classroom and in the community — and the hometown ties that shape their legacy.
