The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on April 3 in memory of retiree John W. Hill who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with John's loved ones during this time.
About John
John was a professor and chairperson in Special Education in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS). He began his career at UNO on Aug. 26, 1974, and retired on Sept. 1, 2015.
John is survived by his children, Erica Louise Hill and Kevin Wollin Hill; his daughter-in-law Tricia Marie Hill; and his grandchildren, Aidan John Hill and Riley Marie Hill. He is also survived by members of the Parker-Hill family, including Gail and Larry Cahill and their children Carter, Quinlan Polito, and Graham; Pat and Susan Parker and their children John, Katie, and Luke; Janice Parker and her children Estes and Cassie Jungwirth; and Billy Mattic and Dean Parker. He was preceded in death by Tim Parker, Lori Parker-Mattic, Dan Parker, and Annette Parker.
