The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Jan. 16 in memory of retiree Dwight Haworth who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Dwight’s loved ones during this time.
About Dwight
Dwight was an associate professor in the College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T). He began his career at UNO on Aug. 20, 1990. He retired on Sept. 1, 2017, and continued to work as an instructor until May 11, 2018.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Ann M. Ahn; three sons, Dwight (Debbie) Haworth, Dustin (Cyndi) Haworth, and Donald Haworth; a daughter, Diana (Jim) Arnold; seven grandchildren, Sarabeth (Steve) Gandara, Hannah (Gus) Henderson, Jesse (Shelby) Haworth, Micah (Erin) Haworth, Madison Baldwin, Shekynah (Jordan) Upmeyer, and Michael Baldwin; three sisters, Marlis Rockwell (Larry), Marchelle (Steve) Dunn, and Marilyn Haworth (Charlie Johnson); six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
