Stephanie Schade was surprised with the award by Human Resources and those in her college.

Stephanie Schade celebrates with colleagues after receiving the Employee of the Month award.

Stephanie Schade, field experience support specialist in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS), has been named the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Employee of the Month for October 2025. She was praised for her professionalism, positive attitude, and dedication to supporting students, faculty, and staff across the college.

A nominator said, “Stephanie is just beginning her second year with us, and we would already be lost without her! Because she is an all-around rockstar, she ends up supporting our office in a variety of ways. This included onboarding UNO faculty, students, and cooperating teachers on a new placement platform called 'Experiential Learning Cloud,' this summer. Training was extensive, and Stephanie took the time to essentially become the expert and onboard all of us. She approached this mammoth task with a level of calm and thoughtfulness that made the whole process seem manageable. We would not be ready to launch if it weren’t for Stephanie. In addition to the knowledge that she is building, she has done all this with such collaborative spirit.”

Colleagues also highlighted her welcoming presence and commitment to helping others. Another nominator shared, “Stephanie is the face of our office and greets students, faculty, and staff with warmth and care. She is friendly to everyone and goes above and beyond to help others, whether it's a colleague or a student who has a question. She is an absolute joy to work with.”

That same spirit of teamwork and positivity has made Schade a valued member of the CEHHS community. “Stephanie happily takes on new challenges without complaint and is an awesome person to work with. We love having her on our team!” added a nominator.

For being named Employee of the Month, Schade received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by The Maverick Store, a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
