The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Sept. 26 in memory of student Blake Kieckhafer, who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Blake’s loved ones during this time.

About Blake

Blake was a senior studying developmental psychology at the time of his death.

He is survived by his father, Ryan Kieckhafer; mother, Lisa Kieckhafer; brothers, Justin (Clarissa) and Austin Kieckhafer; sister, Courtney Kieckhafer; niece, Quinn; nephew, Beckham; and grandparents, Donald and Linda Kieckhafer and George Klabunde. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and teammates. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Dorothy Wolfe, and grandmothers, Cindy Brown and Donna Klabunde.

A celebration of his life was held in August.
