UNO Names Nate Hueber Employee of the Month, July 2025

Hueber was praised for his dedication, commitment to collaboration, and support of students, colleagues, and the broader UNO community.

Nate Hueber is a Coordinator for UNO Career Services.

Nate Hueber is a Coordinator for UNO Career Services.

Nate Hueber, Coordinator for UNO Career Services, has been named the University of Nebraska at Omaha's (UNO) Employee of the Month for July 2025. He was praised for his dedication, commitment to collaboration, and support of students, colleagues, and the broader UNO community.

One nominator said, "Nate consistently demonstrates excellence in performance and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on campus. He is an excellent team player, a role model for others, and someone who leads with both professionalism and empathy."

Colleagues also highlighted Hueber's leadership on projects that enhance student success and career readiness.

Another nominator said, "One of Nate’s most impressive achievements has been leading the comprehensive update of the 'What Can I Do with My Major?' handouts for over 75 academic programs. This large-scale project required extensive research, coordination, and meticulous attention to detail. Nate’s initiative and follow-through resulted in a highly valuable resource that helps students connect their academic interests to meaningful career paths."

In addition to improving student resources, Hueber has shown a strong commitment to ensuring they meet important accessibility requirements.

"Nate has taken the lead on a recent project focused on meeting ADA accessibility requirements, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to ensuring our resources are inclusive and accessible to all," said another nominator.

Hueber's strong leadership and forward-thinking approach continue to make a lasting impact across campus.

Another nominator said, "Nate’s worth ethic, innovative thinking, and genuine dedication make him an indispensable member of Career Services and the UNO community. His contributions consistently exceed expectations, and his impact is felt across departments, among students, and throughout the university."

For being named as Employee of the Month, Hueber received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by The Maverick Store, a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
