UNO Names Laura Osborn Employee of the Month, June 2025

Laura Osborn, Certification Assistant for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (CEHHS) Office of Academic Advising and Field Experiences at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), has been named UNO's Employee of the Month for June 2025. She was praised for her ability to take on expanding responsibilities with professionalism and grace, all while providing critical support to students, colleagues, and the broader campus community.

One nominator said, "Laura is incredibly patient, compassionate, and approachable. She excels in communication, regularly coordinating with the Nebraska Department of Education, advisors, and others to ensure everyone is informed of the latest updates and changes. Her clarity, professionalism, and responsiveness foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. Countless students have expressed their appreciation for her kindness and helpfulness."

For being named as Employee of the Month, Osborn received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the Maverick Store (formerly the UNO Bookstore), a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
