Three-peat! Omaha Softball Wins Summit League Tournament Title for Third-Straight Season
Omaha, the 2025 Summit League Regular Season and Tournament Champions, will compete in the NCAA tournament for the third-consecutive year.

For the third straight season, the Omaha softball team has reached the summit and can call itself Summit League tournament champions.
Omaha used a big second inning and solid pitching from Maddia Groff to beat South Dakota, 4-2, in the title game of the Summit League Championship Saturday afternoon at Jerald T. Moriarty Field on the campus of South Dakota State.
The Mavericks (39-11) – in the Summit League title game for the fifth straight season and having won a share of the Summit League regular-season title for the first time in program history – close out the conference portion of their schedule with five wins in their last six games and an 18-2 mark in their last 20 contests.
Omaha also earns the league's automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NCAA Championship, beginning with the regional round.

Omaha Softball's third-straight appearance in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship is set as the Mavericks (39-11, 14-4 Summit) prepare to visit Norman, Oklahoma, hosted by the second overall seed Oklahoma. A three-seed for the second time in program history, the 2025 Summit League Regular Season and Tournament Champions will face (2) Cal in the opening round on Friday, May 16. The regional round is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, May 18.
Friday's opening game will air on ESPN+ at 2:30 p.m. CT.
