The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Thursday, May 8, in memory of retiree Robert "Bob" Mathis, Ph.D., who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Bob's loved ones during this time.

About Bob

Bob began his career at UNO on Aug. 1, 1974, and retired as Professor Emeritus of Management in the College of Business Administration (CBA) on Sept. 1, 2004. Bob was the recipient of the 1983 UNO Excellence in Teaching Award, and the "Robert Mathis Award" was created in his honor.

Celebration of Life

Bob's family will host a celebration of his life on June 7 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the Mackenzie Place Ballroom from 2 to 4 P.M.
