The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Thursday, April 17, in memory of retiree Jack L. Armitage, Ph.D., CPA, CFE, who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Jack's loved ones during this time.
About Jack
Jack was a professor of accounting from Aug. 22, 1983 through Aug. 31, 2020.
After retiring, he worked as an adjunct until Dec. 1, 2024.
Jack is survived by his wife, Nancy (Lenz) Armitage; his two children, Jeff Armitage (Carol) and Julie Koehler (Justin); four grandchildren: Jackson Armitage, Erin Armitage, Addison Armitage, and Gabe Koehler; brother, James Armitage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Thelma (Young) Armitage.
Memorial Service
A memorial service will be held on Friday April 18, 2025, at 11 A.M., followed by a lunch reception, at the West Center Chapel located at 7805 West Center Road in Omaha.
