With multiple events at Baxter Arena, in Aksarben Village, and three Omaha Baseball games at Maverick Park, the area will be very busy.

Don't forget about free parking around Aksarben Village!

There's no better time to be a Maverick!

From Friday, March 14, through Sunday, March 16, Omaha Athletics and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host a flurry of activity and MavSpirit in Aksarben Village and the surrounding area. With these events and others scheduled on the same days, parking availability will be at a premium. Guests are encouraged to carpool and arrive early to allow additional time for traffic and parking.


Cheer on the Mavericks

Support your Mavericks by attending the Quarterfinal Round of the 2025 NCHC Tournament at Baxter Arena, baseball games at Maverick Park, and the Selection Show Watch Party at Mammel Hall.

🏒 Omaha Hockey vs. North Dakota at Baxter Arena (March 14-16)

The Mavericks clinched home ice for the 2025 NCHC Tournament’s Quarterfinal Round and will face North Dakota on March 14, 15, and 16 (if necessary).

⚾ Omaha Baseball vs. St. Thomas at Maverick Park (March 14-16)

Weather permitting, the Mavericks will play a three-game series vs. St. Thomas on March 14-16.

🏀 Selection Show Watch Party at Mammel Hall (March 16)

Join fellow fans at UNO's Mammel Hall in the Rhoden Innovation Center (6708 Pine St.) on Sunday, March 16 to see where the team is headed in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.


Other Events in the Area

In addition to the hockey tournament at Baxter Arena and games at Maverick Park, numerous other events will be happening in the area that will cause congestion and potential parking delays:

  • The Omaha Film Festival at Aksarben Cinema (March 11-16)
  • The Aksarben Curling Irish Open Bonspiel on the Holland Ice at Baxter Arena (March 14-16)
  • The 9th Annual Omaha Shamrock Run/Walk in Aksarben Village (March 15)

Parking Availability Will be at a Premium

Parking will fill up quickly! Parking is free and spaces are first come, first served at Baxter Arena and Maverick Park (with the exception of paid lots). Additional parking is located in the Aksarben Village parking garages north of Center Street.

Please be sure to follow the directions of traffic and parking officers in the area.
