The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in memory of Joel Hebrink, who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Joel's loved ones during this time.


About Joel

Joel was an adjunct professor in political science, and started his career at UNO on Aug. 3, 2010.

Joel is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane; his son Tony Hebrink and beloved dog Dixie; step granddaughter Aysia Klein; his mother Shirley and step father Lawrence Groen; father in law, Lawrence Bialas; brother Leon (Mary Ann); sister Keri Beth (Greg) Sample; sisters and brothers in law MayDene (Todd) Juhnke; Tommy (Sherry) Bialas; Beth (Mike) Hranicky; and Mike Bialas.
