UNO Names Natsumi Avedissian Employee of the Month, January 2025

Natsumi Avedissian, Employer and Campus Relations Coordinator for Career Services at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), has been named UNO's Employee of the Month for January 2025. She was praised for her dedication to connecting students with career opportunities, her strategic employer engagement, and her leadership in organizing successful career events.

One nominator said, "Natsumi consistently goes above and beyond in her role, delivering exceptional results that elevate Career Services and the university as a whole. Her dedication, innovation, and leadership have had an extraordinary impact on our students, employer partners, and campus community. Her exceptional interpersonal skills and clear, thoughtful communication make her a standout member of our team."

Her nominators also applauded her enthusiasm and ability to create meaningful connections between students and employers.

“Natsumi not only organizes record-breaking career fairs that connect hundreds of students with potential employers, but also proactively seeks opportunities to enhance the student experience. She possesses an exceptional depth of knowledge in employer relations and career development, and her unique ability to engage students and employers is unmatched. Our office has even coined the term ‘Natsumi Energy’ to describe her dynamic approach – standing confidently in front of event tables and drawing students in with enthusiasm and warmth.”

For being named as Employee of the Month, Avedissian received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the Maverick Store (formerly the UNO Bookstore), a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
