At their December meeting, the University of Nebraska (NU) System Board of Regents presented Megan LeClair, Senior Events Manager for the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Baxter Arena, with a KUDOS Award for her dedication to inclusivity, innovative onboarding, and commitment to student success.

LeClair manages more than 110 student workers and has partnered with the Business Office to create a new employee onboarding process that meets the needs of employees and provides them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.

Michael Smith, Senior Associate Athletic Director and General Manager of Baxter Arena, said that, “Megan has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes and supports all members of our campus community. Her commitment to creating a space where everyone feels valued and respected is evident in her daily interactions and initiatives.”

“By providing students with opportunities for professional development, Megan is helping to shape the next generation of successful leaders. Her commitment to student success is an asset to our university," said Smith.

She encourages her team to think outside the box and explore new ideas.

“Her curiosity and thirst for knowledge inspire others to seek out new challenges and opportunities for growth," Smith continued.

In presenting the Board of Regents KUDOS award to LeClair, UNO Student Body President/Regent Ishani Adidam thanked her for her dedication to UNO.

Congratulations, Megan!
