Brie Alsbury is an Enrollment Specialist for the Office of Graduate Studies.

Brie Alsbury, Enrollment Specialist in the University of Nebraska at Omaha's (UNO) Office of Graduate Studies, has been named UNO's Employee of the Month for October 2024. Alsbury was praised for her proactive communication, extensive knowledge of UNO's systems, and commitment to supporting students, faculty, and staff.

One nominator said, "Brie has been assisting with graduate applications for as long as I have worked here, and I have enjoyed all interactions with her. She has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to reduce the stress students, faculty, and staff may feel — whether it's a student starting graduate school, or faculty and staff working on the launch of new programs or academic sessions."

Alsbury's extensive knowledge of UNO's systems and her proactive approach to communicating helpful information has made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the students she assists.

"She values everyone’s time and is attentive to time-sensitive matters. Her dedication to ensuring a positive experience with UNO is truly appreciated. She steps up to any handle issues, communicates clearly, and guides everyone through any challenges that arise."

For being named as Employee of the Month, Alsbury received a certificate, a hot/cold tumbler provided by the Maverick Store (formerly the UNO Bookstore), a monetary award, two tickets to a UNO sporting event, and use of a designated parking space.
