Employees are encouraged to share their thoughts using the new virtual suggestion boxes. You will have the opportunity to provide your name if you’d like to be contacted for follow-up. You may be asked to select your area. This will help prioritize same or similar comments coming from multiple areas. The comments will not be shared outside of the Faculty Senate or the Staff Advisory Council.

About the Faculty Senate

The UNO Faculty Senate is a representative body of members elected to three-year terms by the faculty of the various academic departments and colleges of UNO. The Faculty Senate deals with matters of interest to more than one college and acts as the official voice of the faculty of UNO, with the ideals of shared governance and academic freedom. Senate members are involved in campus and university-wide committees.

About the Staff Advisory Council (SAC)

The UNO Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is a representative body of members elected to three-year terms by fellow staff members. The Staff Advisory Council works to promote and facilitate communications between managerial/professional and the office/service UNO employees and the chancellor. Council representatives attend monthly meetings and serve on various subcommittees.
