Flag Lowering for Cliff McKing
The UNO flag will be lowered on Thursday, June 23, in memory of McKing, a UNO student who passed away on May 16 at the age of 19.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Thursday, June 23, in memory of UNO student Clifford (Cliff) McKing III.
Cliff passed away on May 16 at the age of 19. A first-year Aviation student, he preferred the sky to the ground and had dreams of being a pilot.
Cliff was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and his uncle. He is survived by his parents, Brooke (Joe) Dowding; siblings, Brooke (Josh) Greisen, Brooklyn (Lucas) Kesterson Crook, Bradey Dowding, Ella McKing and Malena McKing; grandparents, Kim and Casey Dunn, Vince and Nancy Dowding, and Antoinette DeWall; his nieces, aunts and uncles, extended family and good friends.
A service was held for Cliff on Monday, May 23, 2022.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Cliff's loved ones during this time.
