Flag Lowering for Jean Mack

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Wednesday, June 1, in memory of UNO retiree Jean Mack.
Jean passed away on April 22, 2022 at the age of 79. She originally joined UNO in November of 1979 as a member of the Criss Library, just three years after library opened, and continuing as a member of the library staff until her retirement in 2005.
Jean was preceded in death by her partens, Joe and Lillian DeYounge; and brother, John. She is survived by her husband Walter; sons CJ Mack and Joel (Mary Louise) Mack; grandson, Malcom Scott; and granddaughter, Harriet Scott.
A service was held on April 27, 2022.
The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Jean's loved ones during this time.
