 Why Omaha?

Business mogul and billionaire Warren Buffett calls Omaha home for a reason. Omaha is a safe, community-oriented, mid-size city with big business opportunities. Located in the heart of the Silicon Prairie, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn all have offices here, alongside thousands of other successful businesses and startups. Several Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Omaha, including Berkshire Hathaway and Union Pacific.

Ready, Set…Explore!

Omaha has plenty of sights to see and exciting activities to enjoy. UNO Summer Institute students will attend a baseball game, check out our world-renowned zoo, visit a local farmer’s market, and more.

Students stay on UNO’s Scott campus, where several restaurants, shops, and entertainment opportunities are all within walking distance.
