Exclusive Opportunities for Civic Engagement Alumni
UNO and partners Arizona State University (ASU) and Kennesaw State University (KSU) implemented six workshops exclusively for YSEALI Civic Engagement Alumni in various locations in Southeast Asia.
The 2023 In-Country Workshop, "Toward a Thriving Democracy: Strategies for More Representative Civic Participation," provided an opportunity for YSEALI Civic Engagement Alumni to reconnect with like-minded fellows dedicated to civic work, learn tools to motivate and engage stakeholders, and exchange ideas for potential collaborative projects. The workshop concentrated on selected issues facing Southeast Asia civic organizations, including academic institutions, NGOs, and government entities. It also discussed the impacts of representation, equity, and strategy on civic participation and challenges in democracy.
