Before coming to UNO in 2009, Emily served as the study abroad advisor for the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She completed undergraduate degrees in International Business and International Studies, followed by a graduate degree in Public Administration, at the University of Missouri. As a student, she studied in Spain and Costa Rica, and as a graduate assistant, she helped faculty members develop and sustain short-term study abroad programs. She has traveled widely as part of her work, visiting Australia, China, Russia, and countries throughout Western Europe. In addition to advising students, Emily also coordinates exchange agreements with UNO's partner universities around the world.
