MFT (Major Field Test)
The ETS Major Field Tests are comprehensive undergraduate and MBA outcomes assessments designed to measure the critical knowledge and understanding obtained by students in a major field of study. The Major Field Tests go beyond the measurement of factual knowledge by helping evaluate students' ability to analyze and solve problems, understand relationships and interpret material from their major field of study.
The UNO Testing Center administers the MFT to coincide with the end of a department’s program of study, typically at the end of the semester. The Testing Center currently administers the MFT for the following UNO Departments: Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science and Sociology. Each UNO-affiliated department will register their students for this exam by contacting the UNO Testing Center.
