The Institutional TOEFL is an English proficiency exam that evaluates the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English.

The UNO Institutional TOEFL is open to persons currently participating in the UNO's Intensive Language Program (ILUNO) or other UNO-affiliated programs. The score on this exam is only valid at UNO.

To register for this exam, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to ILUNO (International Studies) office, located at 241 ASH, to get a payment voucher that includes a book number.
  2. Take the voucher to the UNO Testing Center to pay a non-refundable $50 exam fee. (Cash, check or credit card are acceptable forms of payment. The $50 fee is subject to change at any time.) You will receive two (2) receipts of your payment, one is for you and the other is for ILUNO.
  3. Return to the ILUNO (International Studies) office, and give one receipt to them. You will receive a packet that includes a Test Taker Handbook, a score release form, a photo file card, and instructions on what to bring to the test on exam day.

For additional information, please visit the ILUNO website for additional program information.

The UNO Testing Center administers the Institutional TOEFL on six Saturdays during the year to coincide with the end of an ILUNO eight-week session.
