The Service Learning Academy is seeking nominations for the 2021 Outstanding Faculty Service Learning Awards. Service Learning Awards recognize faculty members for their extraordinary efforts in service learning programs.
The Service Learning Faculty Award recognizes a full or part-time faculty member with at least three years of experience with service learning, who has been supportive of service learning at UNO (through faculty-student presentations, mentoring faculty-students, and so on) and who has a thorough understanding and appreciation of community issues and the capability of developing reciprocal, collaborative relations with community partners.
Self-nominations are accepted if accompanied by a letter of support from the faculty member’s Department Chair, Dean of College, or someone who can speak to the depth of the faculty member’s experience with service learning.
Past award recipients are not eligible to be nominated again for five years.
The deadline for award submissions is March 1, 2021, the awards will be presented during the faculty Honors Convocation in October 2021.
