Biomechanics
Study biomechanics in the world’s only facility of its kind, the Biomechanics Research Building. Dive into soft tissue mechanics, cardiovascular devices, rehabilitation, robotics, prosthetics, ergonomics, and equipment design.

Explore research in exercise physiology, disabilities, sports medicine, early childhood, and public health, with expanded opportunities for hands-on learning in the new, state-of-the-art Health Science Collaborative facility in the H&K Building.

Prepare for careers supporting all learners and communities through hands-on learning, faculty-mentored research, and early opportunities to gain experience in real-world settings such as Service Learning courses.

Professional Pathways for Working Professionals:
Already working in early childhood or childcare? The Early Childhood Inclusive Professional Pathway is designed for individuals currently working full-time in an early childhood setting who hold an associate's degree or have general education and prerequisite courses completed. Funding and scholarship support is available.
Teacher Education
Inspire future learners while preparing to lead your own classroom as part of a network where two out of three Omaha-area educators began their journey. Benefit from field experiences and practicums in partner schools, supported by coaches and faculty.

Professional Pathways for Working Professionals:
Work as a paraprofessional and ready to become a classroom teacher? The Para to Elementary Teacher Pathway lets you earn your degree and certification while continuing to work. You’ll learn alongside other paraprofessionals in a cohort model, follow a predictable schedule, and benefit from strong partnerships between UNO and local school districts.
