Support the future of research at UNO. UNO staff and faculty are invited to serve as moderators, and staff can also sign up to judge at the 18th Annual Student Research and Creative Activity Fair (RCAF) on March 27 at the Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center.
Moderators: Keep it Moving
Moderators help introduce student presenters to the judges, keep sessions on time, and support Q&As for:
- Oral presentations
- Poster sessions
- Performances and demonstrations
Training (day of fair): ALL moderators will be required to attend a brief training session
- Morning/all-day moderators: 8:15 A.M.
- Afternoon-only moderators: 1 P.M.
Complimentary lunch provided. Moderators are welcome to attend the awards ceremony and celebration at 4:15 P.M. in the SPAC Concert Hall.
Faculty can moderate-but not judge.
Already registered as a faculty advisor? No need to sign up again.
The term “Advisor” will appear during registration; this is intentional for all moderators.
Judges: Celebrate Student Excellence
UNO staff and community members can serve as judges. You’ll review presentations, offer feedback, and help select award winners.
Training (day of fair): ALL judges will be required to attend a brief training session

Faculty are not eligible to judge.
