Denise Kjeldgaard Earns Board of Regents Kudos Award

She was recognized for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to the university.

At their August meeting, the University of Nebraska (NU) System Board of Regents presented Denise Kjeldgaard, Director of Auxiliary Services at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), with a Kudos Award for her leadership, integrity, and commitment to the university.

Kjeldgaard plays a vital role in supporting the university through her leadership of Auxiliary Services which includes Dining Services, MavCARD Services, Parking and Transit Services, Mail Services, the Thompson Alumni Center, The Maverick Store, and oversight of the UNO Student Organizations, Inc.

Donald Neal, Jr., Associate Vice Chancellor of Business and Finance, said that “Denise is an exceptional asset to UNO. Her leadership, integrity, and strategic vision have had a profound and lasting impact on the institution.”

Kjeldgaard has helped lead several initiatives that strengthen campus operations and partnerships.

“She is a trusted campus partner who builds collaborative relationships across divisions, engages stakeholders thoughtfully, and approaches challenges with resilience and professionalism,” Neal added.

In presenting the Board of Regents KUDOS award to Kjeldgaard, UNO Student Body President/Regent Aditi Rai thanked her for her dedication to UNO.
