Flag Lowering for W. Meredith Bacon

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) flag will be lowered on Feb. 18 in memory of retiree W. Meredith Bacon who recently passed away. The thoughts and condolences of the university community are with Meredith's loved ones during this time.

About Meredith

Meredith was a professor in political science. She began her career at UNO on Aug. 23, 1976, and retired on Sept. 1, 2014.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held at 4 P.M. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha.
