Project Achieve Lockup

Over the course of the past couple of months, recruiting efforts have been underway to identify the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s next Director of TRIO Project Achieve. TRIO Project Achieve is a federally funded Student Support Services (SSS) program at UNO.

The role of director of TRIO Project Achieve is a critical position for the UNO campus as TRIO Project Achieve serves students who have been traditionally underrepresented in higher education. This includes current UNO students as well as incoming students.

Activities and services emphasize development of skills necessary for becoming more efficient and independent learners. TRIO Project Achieve's goal is to bring on board a director who will help enable Maverick students to succeed in their pursuit of academic goals with an engaged, student support, advising and whole person development through its programs and services.

TRIO Project Achieve uses a flexible and personalized approach where each student is encouraged to participate in activities which meet their needs. Students and staff work together in clarifying students' skills in relation to their educational and career goals.

All interested faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend open campus forums, to be held at 11:30 A.M. across three days, at the Weitz Community Engagement Center, Room 201/205, where each candidate will share their strategic vision for the advancement of programming, services, and student development for TRIO Project Achieve.
