Biography
Dr. Yassine Rfissa serves as the Academic Manager for the Intensive English Program in International Programs at UNO. He brings more than a decade of experience in language education, teacher preparation, learning design, and academic program leadership across U.S. and international settings.
He provides pedagogical leadership for the Intensive English Program and customized international education programs, helping shape project-based programs that connect language development with academic growth, cultural understanding, and student success.
Before joining International Programs, Dr. Rfissa served as an Instructional Designer II with UNO’s Division of Innovative and Learning-Centric Initiatives. His background also includes English language program leadership with AMIDEAST Morocco, graduate-level teaching through UC Berkeley Extension, and a Fulbright FLTA at UNL.
His work is grounded in the belief that learning is both an academic and a human journey, one that sparks curiosity, helps students make sense of new ideas, and gives them confidence to move forward.
